Sara Simoska is an architect from Skopje with a master’s degree from Politecnico di Milano. With over eight years of experience, she has participated in numerous international projects and competitions in architecture, urban planning, and design. Her work has earned awards in Italy, Slovenia, Russia, Macedonia, Serbia, and other countries. Sara is the president and co-founder of MELEEM Skopje, an association dedicated to the development of urban culture and the improvement of architectural conditions, ensuring high standards for living, working, and public spaces.
MELEEM Skopje is an association focused on the development of urban culture and the actualization of space. It aims to enhance the working conditions for architects and ensure high standards for citizens’ living and working environments. MELEEM organizes workshops, events, and educational programs for architecture students and young architects to enhance their skills for better career opportunities both locally and internationally. The association also conducts workshops to improve public spaces, involving active participation from local residents. By highlighting neglected areas, MELEEM seeks to draw attention to and improve public spaces and architectural conditions in Skopje and other cities in Macedonia. The organization fosters active discussion and participation among all stakeholders, including investors, architects, urban planners, and citizens, using modern tools such as Instagram.
